Ideal introduction to any one interested in learning to sail. A general introduction on the basics of a yacht to help you decide whether you wish to take this excellent sport further. You will be given the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the yacht and learn basic sailing techniques in a relaxed environment. This is an excellent way to discover sailing with no added pressure associated with completing a certification based course. A far more personal approach is offered with the flexibility to run the course around your own goals. Plenty of opportunity to ask individual questions - this course can be taken on a one-on-one basis if you feel this would be the easiest way to learn or in a small, friendly group setting of up to 6 people.
This course is designed for people that have sailed previously but have not been out on the water for a while. A chance to re-familiarise yourself with the yacht and basic operations of sailing and handling a vessel. Again this course can be run on a one to one basis to further boost your confidence or in a small friendly group setting with individuals of a similar experience.
This course is designed for experienced sailors who wish to further develop their racing skills. A windward/leedward racing course will be set and instruction will be run by Gareth Williams, National and European Champion who has won many races at a top level and is the youngest person at 17 years old to complete the Round the World Race. Wins have included Cowes Week nationally and Antigua Race Week internationally. Learn from his vast race experience, get involved and ask as many questions as you wish. This course is an exciting and sociable way to further enhance your yacht racings skills as part of a team.
All courses will be run on a beautiful Beneteau First 40 IRC rated yacht. All courses our flexible and can be designed around your individual requirements and expectations.
